Dr. Isaac Akurugu Apike is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research (ISSER), University of Ghana, where he works on the Policy Prioritization through Value Chain Analysis (PPVC) project. He holds a BSc and MPhil in Agribusiness, and a PhD in Business and Management (Logistics and Supply Chain Management). His research focuses on agrifood systems, supply chain management, and value chain analysis, with a strong emphasis on climate risk, food systems resilience, and agricultural transformation in Ghana and across Africa. He specializes in data-driven analysis, including partial equilibrium modelling, value chain diagnostics, and policy-oriented research, and has contributed to several research and policy initiatives on tomato, rice and poultry value chains, irrigation systems, agricultural productivity, and climate risk assessment. His interests include supply chain optimization, climate-resilient agrifood systems, and policy-relevant modelling to support evidence-based decision-making.
