Aisha Ibrahim Adam is a Ghanaian economist with expertise in energy sector analysis, natural resource governance, and public finance. With over 10 years of experience in international organizations, government, and research institutions, including the African Development Bank, the Natural Resource Governance Institute (NRGI), and South Africa's National Treasury, she has contributed to high-impact policy reform and natural resource governance across Africa.
Currently, Aisha is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research (ISSER), University of Ghana, where her research focuses on financial inclusion, public financial management, and their intersections with social and economic development outcomes.
Her broader research interests span maternal health, financial inclusion, public financial management, and the energy sector, reflecting her commitment to multidisciplinary approaches that address Africa's most pressing development challenges. She holds a PhD in Economics from Kansas State University and has published on fiscal policy, resource-backed lending, and revenue management.
